Frequently Asked Questions
I teach all levels to sing. If you are a complete beginner, lessons will be tailor made to suit your level. Normally lessons will begin with simple exercises to explore your range and how to help your pitching. I will then be able to judge which songs would best suit your level so that we can work towards your goals.
Lessons take place in my designated singing space in Pollokshields, Glasgow. I use piano in all of my lessons with access to high quality recording equipment as and when needed. The space is welcoming and comfortable and easy to access with on street parking and many public transport link.

"I was looking for singing lessons in Glasgow for my 11 year old daughter and so happy we found Brian. He is amazing with our daughter and she just loves her singing lessons with him."
- Yvonne Marshall
Block bookings are available at a discounted oprice but you are not obliged to book a block of lessons. You can try one lesson and make sure you are happy to continue. From there you can pay as you go or you can organise a block booking at your convenience.
Not only are you allowed to record your singing lesson but I actually encourage students to do so. Recording is a great practise tool so you can recap on your lesson and work on all of the covered content in your singing lesson. A phone or tablet will do the trick but feel free to bring your own specialist device.
I accept payment by cash, cheque or online transfer. Card payments can be accepted for block bookings.
One lesson each week is the standard practice and will ensure adequate progress is made over time. For some one lesson every other week is appropriate if they are already established singers. For others working towards a deadline, more time may be appropriate. Read more...

"By that point, I had started taking singing lessons. And after the first session, I mean, I was surprised that the windows didn't shatter. And after the third session, I really didn't know where this voice had come from."
